Duncan and Kate Smith, the founders of Pure Fire Ministries, travel throughout the world demonstrating the power and love of the Holy Spirit, releasing the river and fire of God wherever they go. Duncan and Kate live to see the whole earth filled with the Glory of God. They are passionate to see people falling in love with Jesus and discover through Him, their Heavenly Daddy’s intense power and love for them and the world. He and Kate also pastor the Youth and Young Adult Network at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and they live in Toronto with their three beautiful daughters.

Duncan and Kate’s second passion is to raise up leaders in the kingdom and take the world by storm. Together they have a strong team of young adult leaders, some of which have been with Duncan and Kate for 4 years. These leaders are being trained to lead teams of their own and really see the kingdom of God multiplied and cities taken for the Lord.

The Lord has taken Duncan and Kate on several exciting paths that have given them a great spiritual and business skill set. Duncan had a short but successful career as a police officer until the Lord called him and his family to prepare for the work of ministry. Kate had a successful career as an Occupational Therapist balancing her responsibilities at home and within the church.

They took a ministry training program at Kingdom Faith Ministries which eventually led them to the ministry of setting up large-scale evangelistic campaigns in West Africa, with Duncan working as an Associate Evangelist. Duncan was born in Nigeria so his passion for the nations started at a young age.

After some time the Lord asked them to lay down their ministry and become involved in Duncan’s family farm business in Oxfordshire, England. During this four-year period Duncan obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Management, complementing his Bachelor of Science degree. Eventually, the call of God for ministry was again resurrected when John Arnott invited them to join the senior team at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (TACF) where Duncan served as the Executive Director for 4 years before stepping into the role of Executive Director of Catch the Fire Ministries, the international face of TACF.

Currently Duncan and Kate spend their time traveling the world preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, healing the sick and raising up great leaders in the Kingdom. Kate splits her time between the church and running a women’s gym as well as being an occupational therapist in Toronto.
